Love your neighbor, or I'll punch your lights out.

A blog devoted to M*A*S*H, and especially our dear Father Mulcahy. Because everyone could use a bit more of the Father in their lives and on their dashboards.

So, I’m starting a new series called A Wild William Christopher Has Appeared, where I find pictures of the loveable Father Mulcahy in other roles.

In “Hogan’s Heroes,” we see him in the episode “Movies are Your Best Escape,” (01x08) where William Christopher plays a downed British flier anxious to return home for their unit’s cricket game. As per usual, Hogan devises an absurd scheme where the two British fliers disguise themselves as officers in the German propaganda ministry filming the POW camps of Germany. The cameras the two officers use contain an important microfilm needing to reach London, so after pretending to “film” Stalag 13, Hogan sends them off in a staff car for their escape.

In this episode you can also hear a decent English accent by William Christopher. (We won’t talk about the German one though.)
